we had carrot cake decorated in the shape of the union logo and drank sparkling wine out of mason jars
one of the union organizers held a get-together at the co-op where she and 13 other people live. there's two buildings; one for personal rooms and one for a communal kitchen. the dishwasher, fridge, and oven were all industrial-grade, and the spice rack was huge. there's also a big garden with many fruit trees and birds, a bicycle rack, and a cat. i want to live in a place exactly like this

when nothing is done about the filibuster, Democrats simply need to keep the house of reps, retain the white house, and have wholly unprecedented gains in states where they've never been competitive through the next 6-8 years of senate elections to *maybe* have the numbers to "codify Roe."
and that's assuming nothing else goes wrong in the meantime.
people want you to pretend electoral politics has a functional answer for securing human rights in this country when they can't even explain how.
