NBC appears to now be using artificial/ recorded audiences alongside a recorded soundscape, all for players playing in an empty stadium and it’s making me go fucking insane I can’t even think about the fact that Man U scored 2 in a row to be 3 up w/ 15 left I’m thinking too hard about simulacrae. How many of these fans are dead now? A production assistant presses a button and a chorus of corpses belt out a chant. An artificial audience claps for events not taking place. God knows what it was that excited them to begin with but that doesn’t matter now. The context is rotten away and all we’re left with is joy without enjoyment. Uncanny celebrations just irresponsive enough to be noticeable.
