I think that'd be really visually thematically resonant as a representation of the fact that he's something contrary to their nature, something they try to suppress, and give every aspect warrior matching red tattoos to match him and show they've embraced this path even if it doesn't totally define them
Still not sure how Khaine interfaces w frutiger aero in regards to the design of my Craftworld, it's an issue bc as an aesthetic it's very smoothed over and glossy and aquatic and warm and hopeful and he's a molten iron god of hatred blood and murder. Honestly could just go all in on it and make the avatar model a really bright vermillion as a standout complement to the craftworld's aqua-green complementary scheme. W some white armor to show he sill belongs in the army
Basically trying to flesh out the Craftworld with "realistic downsides" to being a corporate eco utopia modeled off of like late 2000s Apple & general Silicon Valley culture with a lot of old corporate former hippies that took a sharp conservative turn. And also do a funny intervention on the idea of "wood elves" as druggie forest dwellers
The majority of prosecuted Ecolegau opt to take their exile on the path of the outcast, as rangers, nominally still loyal to the Craftworld. For this reason, regardless of their actual myriad reasons for taking the path of the exile, Ecoleg rangers have a reputation as free spirited partiers, regardless of several of their own efforts to portray themselves as nothing more than exceptional marksmen
Despite widespread use of "revelationary aids" by its "Visionary" farseers, Craftworld Ecoleg-Yfory has had a prohibition at pain of exile on all use of narcotic substances for 1000 years. So deeply ingrained in its culture that warbands have been known to refuse cooperation with otherwise friendly drukhari kabalites and wyches who rely on combat drugs for clarity on the battlefield
One single space marine could provide enough pain-nourishment to feed an entire family of Drukhari for a millennia. Think charitably. Share <3
Space marines are definitely prized as fighters in the arenas of Commorragh but space marine fans naive, proud insistence that that's all they're used for is hilarious. Yeah I'm giving the civilization that staves off death by causing suffering with an entire caste of horror movie surgeons a big huge dude that can repair bodily damage on his own and survive nearly all bodily trauma and all they're using him for is fighting. Sure
The Horus Heresy series is really a stunning bit of franchise architecting like games workshop got their stable of writers together in 2006 and were like alright uoure going to write 50 something novels that'll release in this order, you're getting this plot beat, youre getting this character, you're getting this battle" and for literally 18 years slammed out novel after novel from Horus Rising to The End and The Death Part III that fleshed the heresy out in totality. Crazy
