i started replaying persona 2 and honestly? this game gets WAY too much flack for its mechanics. the biggest flaw is the steep learning curve and how the game just sort of throws all its systems at you at the same time but once you get the hang of it? its SO much fun
why did we just throw fusion spells out of the window.... persona series let me do cool combo moves with my party members again

would also be really cool if we got some gay love interests again, whose relationships with the protag are so intrinsically woven into the game's plot that it simply is the only romance option that makes sense

THE SERIES TOOK SUCH A HUGE STEP BACKWARDS IT DRIVES ME CRAZY honestly p2 is surprisingly Good about a large number of things, even if it does have 1 very off-color transphobic "joke", but considering its a single missable comment from an npc its already light years ahead of where we are now with the more recent games
also eikichi fucking RULES he has SO much gender and daddy issues and hangups with masculinity and self image in him (canonically)
