@alephnull marvel is my ex lover that makes me smoke a cigarette to reminisce but tbh youre right i think you can get so much enjoyment out of these characters when you understand the pop culture backing... Like for instance hulk being the definition of the sandbag monster hero that apparently has ENORMOUS amounts of power but his status quo is getting shit on b/c no one can understand him and scavenging trash for resources solidifies him as such a jake interest
