Basically no liberal is actually realistic about what gun control actually entails. They have no real plan to disarm people and no understanding that just because you pass a law it means everything will just work. They’re so used to having the cops and jails do their bidding that they genuinely don’t understand how to implement a policy cops can’t or won’t

@kate yea but, NY gun laws over the past couple decades have probably done a lot to reduce gun violence in the state (obviously always other variables)

Seriously, gun control laws have worked in the UK and Australia, countries notoriously full of assholes and bad cops, so why wouldn't they work in the US?

I feel like the left has internalised a lot of exceptionalism.
