If you’re homeless there’s no fucking difference between Democrats and Republicans. If you’re in jail there’s no difference between Democrats and Republicans. If you’re killed by the cops, a Democrat mayor and a Republican governor will display the same contempt for your memory.
The difference between a blue state and a red state is if a white employed trans person feels safe or not. That’s not good enough for a party to deserve your support.

@kate Not just the order, the rate. A system that grinds people up is obviously evil and needs to be abolished, but in the meantime, slowing the rate at which people are fed into the grinder even a little bit is still worth doing. And having Democrats in power makes it easier to convince people that they're not the solution.
@kate Not quite. Currently it's between those who want to keep you subjugated and those who want you eradicated. Both need to be fought. But one fight is much more critical.
