Did you know there’s a department of every state government that seizes dead people’s houses and sells them to pay hospitals they died in, leaving their children with nothing?
@kate not only that, people who have been on medicaid for “too long” also have their houses seized, again leaving their children with nothing.

It's why rich people keep lawyers retained and those lawyers make them things like Irrevocable Trusts. (Not a lawyer, but I work around 'em. For now.)
