Very pleased to see that the creators are receiving 100% of the post-hosting/fees revenue from the Homestuck Patreon.
Previously, What Pumpkin received 56.4% of that revenue from Homestuck 2.
4.6% was set aside for a dedicated account. All spending (administrative, design, etc) was authorized by the team.
The remaining 38.9% went to creatives.
I am very glad to see the strides made by the new team in ensuring fair compensation and admire James’s ability to deliver for artists and writers.
I made LESS money quitting a podcast about Homestuck to write Homestuck. Funny stuff.
Anyway. We never got a contract. This was an offer we were tentatively working under and I personally regret agreeing to even on a temporary basis. Don’t work without a contract. Ever.
