deltarune 2 overall thoughts, haven’t actually played it yet so I might be wildly off
the existence of a chapter 2 alternate route clashes pretty hard with the “your choices don’t matter” vibe of chapter 1, right?
so I’m thinking either the alt route is going to result in the game glitching out when you’re “supposed” to interact with a character that you can’t, or you’ll just be forced onto the one canon route with no explanation—until, like, chapter 7, when the rug gets pulled out

so as far as i can tell with one exception theres no big difference between the ending of ch with snowgrave and the standard endings. theres some extra optional dialogue but the actual ending sequence is exactly the same
now the one exception seems like it'd be a pretty big deal but we have no way of actually seeing if it will stick or just be hand-waved away
this leads me to a few guesses about the nature of deltarunes story:
- the actual like end outcome conclusion will always be the same. the way you get there and the like specific dialogue and things will be different but the exact end point will be the same
- there is some word trickery going on with what "your choices" mean or the nature of multiple endings in video games which brings me to guess 3
- if you do enough fucked up and evil things you get into some like Fail State where you cant progress. which would technically be An ending, but not The ending?

@nowionlywantatriumph Ive seen people saying the idea that YOUR choices dont matter, but you can force others to make choices against their will. pacifist route being kris making everyone else happy while suffering from their... demonic possession and/or depression, alt route being kris forcing everyone to do awful things to make themself happy
