I will probably miss the elden ring runs because I got myself a little Single Beer treat and it's making me sleepy

though if I had to guess, I doubt they did more than one souls game in any GDQ event. they're pretty good about not playing too much from one series, with the exception of like... the sonic games or stuff like that where there's a lot of variation

just realized that although they're doing two Elden Ring runs as the finale for GDQ, they didn't have any other soulsborne games on the schedule this time. weird

mario :) those commentators sounded the most like sports commentators of any in GDQ this year, haha

I know this is the most vanilla thing, but if I started speedrunning I would definitely do SM64 or OoT. I know I'd have no chance of getting on leaderboards but it would just feel the most satisfying to me to learn the routes

I think they said SM64 hasn't been at GDQ since 2018? which sounds wild to me. did everyone get tired of it or something
