I will say, about the most common line I hear about Harris: she did take responsibility for the anti-trans prisoner case her office argued when she was California AG, said denying prisoners gender affirming care is the wrong policy, and say she wouldn’t pursue it in the future. whether you believe it or not, idk, but it’s much better than being proud of it or dodging the question https://www.washingtonblade.com/2019/01/21/harris-takes-full-responsibility-for-briefs-against-surgery-for-trans-inmates/

In general, Democrats remain encouragingly firm on the trans issue compared to other, flimsier commitments to social justice, especially compared to their center-left counterparts in other parts of the anglosphere.
