the answer is always leninism. the answer is always vanguard party. it's ALWAYS vanguard party. why do you think we assassinated and undermined the black panthers so aggressively? look at who the american empire deems a real threat. look at what they DID. look at how hard the neoliberals worked to completely erase the seismic impact they had on american politics in the 60s and 70s. solidarity forever isn't just a slogan. politics isn't a fandom. be a materialist for gods sake!
you don't do revolution with art or with theory or with a populist representative or with a non-profit or etc etc etc... you do it with a vanguard party embedded in working class communities that builds a national platform based on what real human beings need in their own words. everything else can and should exist in support/under guidance of that vanguard, but fundamentally revolution requires principled non-individualist organization from the local to the national scale
youtube bitchiness
@sarahzedig I think that when they first started, they had their purpose, and the absolute best example of what they could be is embodied in the alt -right playbook, where specific examples are mostly abandoned in favor of unpacking the rhetorical tools and techniques used by fascists
There's really so little value in them now though, especially since all of them, including ARPB is too cowardly to posit actual solutions
@sarahzedig
i really want to believe in vanguardism and be part of it. i like leninism a lot on some emotional level. however i am a materialist first and foremost and to me it looks like all the vanguards beefed it in 2020, like, to a one. i was very saddened by this development and it made me think the ML vanguard might not be the right weapon for the conditions we're in
@jack it's always a laugh being right all the time
look i'm just a film student who only started earnestly reading theory about five years ago, i'm woefully underread, i'm not an expert (i mean fucks sake i'm a youtuber), but it sure does seem conspicuously convenient that the only political framework for effective revolution that's ever been demonstrably successful in a multitude of circumstances happens to be the most consistently demonized and written off out of hand by the liberal establishment & those captured by its propaganda
