Server rules
Below is a summary of rules you need to follow if you want to have an account on this server of Mastodon:

Report anything that bothers you. If the user has no shrike club mutuals they will be obliterated with extreme prejudice.
Shrike.club users may follow @SHRIKE to participate in the governance of this instance.
Code of conduct
Be excellent to one another. No single user should be uncomfortable on shrike.club.
Whenever possible, disputes should be treated as honest disagreements between friends. Moderation action against users of shrike.club should be exeptionally rare, and permanent action will never be taken without adequate public discussion. No one will ever be banned or have their information deleted without adequate notice to move instances and transfer their following.
Please appropriately tag nsfw and potentially triggering topics using the CW system.
Users are encouraged to tag fandom-specific posts and art with hashtags.
Remember: The fediverse is completely decentralized. shrike.club is one of many instances. You are encouraged to start your own and always free to move to instances you enjoy.
Governance
Important decisions about instance management will be subject to approval via poll.
Decisions which require a poll
No user will be suspended for over 24 hours without a poll.
No instance-level blocks will be set without a poll except in the case of direct and obvious harassment, in which case the block must be affirmed by a vote within seven days.
No user will be elevated to moderator or administrator or demoted from these positions without a poll.
Requesting a poll
Any group of five or more shrike.club users can request a poll, which will be conducted within seven days. Administrators may also propose a poll at any time.
Form of poll
Polls will be posted as trills from @shrike@shrike.club, which is available to follow to shrike.club users only. Polls must remain open for at least 24 hours.
In polls with 3+ options, no choice prevailing with a majority will result in a second round of polling with the top two choices.
In polls with 2 options, an exact tie will result in the preservation of the status quo.
