well i'm not sure, mr. eliot. that doesnt sound so cruel to me

you catch me staring intensely at my phone, brows furrowed in heavy thought and consideration, steam practically coming out of my ears as i pour all my brainpower into solving some kind of great riddle or conundrum. you can't contain your curiosity at this great enigma so of course you surreptitiously look over to pilfer a peek of my screen and you see this

granted, i love the fact that i get to personally have dialogue with each of them and see how they've changed -- like, seeing just how offputting Gale is after ascension is very satisfying, as is meeting the sedate-by-comparison illithid Karlach, but i think I'd find it more interesting if i got to see both -- a cutscene to encapsulate the path they took after their ending, maybe even something to flash to as you get caught up with them

maybe part of it is just that i wish each character got their own epilogue, but i feel like i need to either romance them or play as their origin to see that, and that's a lot of effort to put in to see these outcomes, whereas i would be very excited to e.g. see a scene of wyll fighting demons in avernus, or gale ascending, without having to be personally playing as or kissing one of those characters to do it

feel like bg3's ending variety is maybe a bit lacking? afaik you only get the proper epilogue with one particular choice, and it feels like each companion only has a few buckets they land in to determine how they show up in the epilogue and what dialogue you get to have with them. i wish, a bit, that things were a bit more granular or endings affected each other more. (e.g., the fact that wyll can accompany karlach to avernus -- what if god gale could help her, or spawn astarion?)

i love when there's enough complexity and layered metaphor in a piece of media that a single actor in the story represents various concepts in different relationships with other actors in the story

one of my favorite things is to say "listening and learning" when somebody says something objectively untrue

she was friendly and conversational and like, "i wanna joke about how there's a *wee* bit of a line..."

and then we had a little back and forth and the woman looks at me after a stall opens up and she's like "but for real i can wait if it's an urgent need"

and i was like. in response. "no it's okay, i just didn't think about it... you know, my bathrooms used to not have lines. :|"
