Btw, all the above photos were taken in the same like, five foot area. There was so much activity in this one specific spot I didn't even have to move, I just turned around a bunch LMAO
Other than these guys I saw a White Throated Sparrow (no good photos since he decided to ZOOM on into the bushes as soon as I had my lens focused =_=) some Cardinals, Blue Jays in flight, and a whole ass load of American Robins. There were SO many Robins you guy, every time one landed on a branch I was like !!! what IS this *Zooms in on camera* oh its just YOU.... (No hate on em they're just EVERYWHERE)
Here's a few more of the Red Bellied. I cant get enough of this dude, he just looks like a plush toy here. He's SO cute.
LASTLY!!! I BELIEVE this is a House Wren? It only sat there for about twenty seconds before taking off again so I couldn't get anything better than this.
I haven't even checked the rest of my photos ive just been too excited about THESE!!!! I believe the one in the photo is a male from its facial markings as well.
So I've been setting out in this park a lot trying to find Northern Flickers... I constantly hear them but can never find them... And then today, way off in the distance, I see something... I take a few pictures thinking oh its probably nothing, the sun was in my eye and I couldn't really make out what it was....
Fast forward to 20 minutes ago when I was going over my photos from today....
NORTHERN FLICKER!!!!!!!!
(I was quite a distance so I'm surprised the photos are as clear as they are!)
TODAY'S BIRDS. This male Red Bellied Woodpecker making some nests for its mate that it promptly sits in and looks absolutely adorable. And then we have this female Downy Woodpecker who was SUPER active... playing peekaboo. (1/?)
