"Feels Good Man" reveals a lot about how Pepe the Frog and its creator Matt Furie suck... accidentally. When faced with that inconvenient truth, the film and its audience will go to astonishing lengths to pretend our cultural grift economy is doing just fine.

@Sophia_Zoe I'm taking fnords back they inspire joy now instead of fear
@Sophia_Zoe OK wait does the film at all position this in the context of reclaiming slurs? I think there's something there -- not something a movie invested in copyright the way this is could accomplish but if we're talking symbols that hold more power than their inherent content, the cultural impact of slurs seems a much more potent example, and the projects of reclaiming them and turning them against the oppressors, the efforts by terfs to return "queer" to slurs status.......?
