@ahamkara there's a subreddit that does stocks as a meme basically. They saw people short-selling gamestop shares (which is some kind of bet against the price going up basically) and decided to push the stock really far up as a meme.
The people short-selling accused the subreddit of doing a lot of hacking and harassment, including of minors, which I have not seen any detail on. They flipped out and backed out of the whole thing.
They are still pushing the price up, destroying short-sellers.
