#oklahomacitybombing is trending on twitter because it's the 26th anniversary of timothy mcveigh's bombing of the murrah federal building in okc, which i think is interesting because one of the less talked about aspects of mcveigh was that he was present outside of waco and saw the ATF slaughter dozens of people, and this was a big reason why he turned his ire towards the FBI. anyway david chipman, an ATF agent who lied about the branch davidian's violence, is biden's pick to head the ATF
i'm not interested in morally litigating these events as chances are you either have very strong feelings about them or know next to nothing about them, and i'm not in a position to tell you what to make of it. i'm just saying that liberals insist these events aren't relevant to us in any meaningful sense except in a vague gesture towards "domestic terrorism," when the truth is that militant government action destabilizes our country and manufactures the circumstances for its eternal existence
