of course chris pratt is using his normal voice for mario. how could he do anything else? he's not a character actor. he's barely even an actor. we don't live in a world where trained professionals portray unique characters, we live in a world where one brand ("chris pratt") synergistically complements another brand ("mario the italian plumber") for the sake of juicing quarterly profit projections for a cabal of stakeholders who think konami's pachinko-ification is an aspirational story
i am so glad that every single platform i utilize to sustain my career is owned by private companies that can fundamentally alter or even completely destroy literally any aspect of any of those platforms on a whim without ever once consulting me or anyone else who uses them
