as much as i babble about jade, i want to say that the comic going out of its way to show rose being just as loving and protective of yiffy felt important. so many of the readers cant seem to reconcile that being bad at relationships doesnt inherently make you a bad parent. she loves her daughter just as much as jade does and yiffy clearly loves them both a great deal and it means something to me that this is true

look how close they are to yiffy. roses cheeks is smooshing against the top of her head. they finally have their baby and theyre not giving her up so easily. regardless of what rose and jades relationship is like (i personally think rose loves both jade and kanaya a devastating amount, but thats harder to admit than affection for a child) they love yiffy and she loves them and that makes me feel some sort of good way
