okay so. i don’t think that any of this NEEDS a canonical explanation bc that’s just how homestuck operates. BUT. for the people who DO need a canonical explanation for everything, i accidentally came up with a weird headcanon regarding roxy’s gender and it’s affected by dirk’s power over the narrative

@ghostrally everyone knows that roxy was very heavily implied to be a trans woman in homestuck proper, but when the epilogues/hs^2 came out, roxy was “confirmed” to be afab. part of me wonders if that was something done by dirk?

@ghostrally dirk has always known about roxy and her “wanting to have babies” as well as her attraction to men, and if transfem roxy WAS canon, is it too far of a reach to assume that dirk twisted the narrative in the epilogues to “”””grant””” her a wish?

@ghostrally but because dirk understood roxy as a trans woman and not as nonbinary/agender like terezi/roxy did, this would explain his surprise at roxy’s change of pronouns and the famous “i’ll allow it” line

@ghostrally i don’t think that this is something that i feel anyone has to agree on me with, but like?? i personally think a situation like this is within the ability of homestuck and contributes to the whole meta-conversation about the importance of canon and what “canon” really means. also i like it!!!!!! bc god damn do i miss the dirk and roxy friendship. dirk is Like That and i feel this a “godly” but maybe not noble thing he would do
