why do i have to raise my friends. why do we literally have to tell them how to act. why do i have to hold their fuckn hands through everything. MULTIPLE friends!!!!!! is it bc of how old we are???? is it bc they had shitty parents??? how are these people going to survive after graduation. i feel bad for complaining bc i do love them but for fucks sake. i’m allowed to have higher standards than that.

not to mention that just last week my friend (22 YEARS OLD!!!) was telling ME how they spent $130+ on a collectible figurine, but yesterday, my birthday present is a printed-out meme and they couldn’t help pay for pizza bc they only have $4 to their name. literally handed me the gift and said “sorry, i don’t really have any money” bitch i know

had an early birthday party with my friends (6 of us total) who ALSO live on campus last night and they showed up an hour late. an hour. one person didn’t like a game we were playing so she just laid down on the floor of my bathroom until we were done. i fucking hate it here!!!!!!!

another friend of ours (20) actually started to having teach them (22) and his roommate (18) that “oh hey, the party is done, now we offer to help clean up!” and it’s just like..............we shouldn’t have to do this. it’s not our job to teach you.

they don’t know how to fucking act. not in public, not when they’re guests anywhere. my friend (they/them) showed up to a mutual friends birthday party and didn’t even think to get her a present. i had to teach them how to grocery shop. doesn’t say please or thank you to anyone. if someone else offers to buy a meal as a treat, they will order FOUR MEALS for themself!!! that actually happened! why do i have to fuckn babysit someone older than me

i understand that the ages of my irl friend group is 18-22 , so maybe this is a universal thing, but me wanting my friends to act like decent human beings shouldn’t be asking for much
