Great Egret! Was literally hanging out like ten feet away from the Black Crowned Night Heron lol.

Black Crowned Night Heron!!! A lifer for me! I adore these guys, their eyes are a beautiful ruby red.

and then lastly I saw the great egret again just like. Standing here looking confused, and I stared back at it and after like three minutes of a staring contest he flew off lmfao

And then like twenty feet away was this Canada Goose pair AND THEIR ADORABLE GOSLINGS I like audibly gasped as they ran out to follow their mom into the pond

SOLITARY SANDPIPER I was leaving the park and walking down the street and found another pond with him in there (alone, of course!)

I was wondering why I kept seeing robins chilling in the same area despite me being around, and then I spotted this guy! American Robin fledgling!!

(Pls remember to never pick up fledgling birds even if the parents don’t seem to be around; they absolutely are in the area, they’re just getting food for the kid. Only ever move a fledgling if it is in immediate danger or the parents are confirmed dead, and then in that case bring them to your local wildlife rescue as soon as you can)
