appreciate how the demise of lord english remains an information black hole no matter what. thinking about this a little in conjunction with godfeels's own musings on paradox space and aspects as presentation of information and like yeah. of course the collapse of a piece of observable paradox space at a narrative nexus point can never be truly Known. all the ideas from so many sources are blending so seamlessly here. i'm obsessed.

homestuck is a story about sad girls sending text messages that never get read. homestuck is also a story about moments reiterating themselves in more and more cathartic ways. already interested to revisit the chapter where we saw june receiving these messages paradoxically on time and also centuries too late.

thinking about it in the same light as godfeels (and postcanon's) notion of The Homestuck Mold. jade harley continued to Be Jade Harley the empty signifier for so long it almost destroyed her. that existential battle against stagnacy that they're all trapped in, that sits at the heart of so much...yeah. yeah this story is on fire right now.

davepeta being the difference that lets this specific jade finally escape the cycle of torment and isolation, and by extension all the thematic elements that brought davepeta to this moment. something about retcon decisions and catastrophic divergences. reality itself had to be shattered six different ways just for the miracle of jade harley having something for herself to be allowed to happen. homestuck itself had to shatter.

man just the concept of a vriska who didn't get sucked down into the black hole is insane to me. again like we KNEW this already and seeing the way it's all traced back is so crazy. that canon do be divergent.

considering now which version of vriska gets the better deal. like vriska not being sucked into the black hole is obviously better than being trapped in a dead end by design reality but that's implying there's a level of inherent betterness to a vriska that instead got kicked square out of homestuck and into something new.

dunno i'm really out here pondering the myriad postcanon divergences of vriska. godfeels vriska meeting terezi in the void. tse!vriska and the slowburn promise that one day she will claw her way back to the one she loves. hs2!vriska wielding her relevance with a keen desperation. omelette route!vriska letting herself be used as a pawn in a cosmic scheme as the only viable route back home. i know this a jade chapter but i am now in my serket feelings once again.
