genuinely considering a sort of double reacharound VM setup where I run Prism Launcher inside a Flatpak in a linux VM like fedora or something, which I pass my GPU to. Then on my host system, dedicating 3/4 cores to the VM and 1/4 to the host. The host will be where I can run a VPN or something (or even Tor to see if it's at all viable or ethical) so that if I fuck up I don't accidentally leak my IP.
Also I'd access/manage the host from the guest.

This is absurdly excessive and ridiculous for anything besides messing with 2B2T and the like, or downloading the shadiest mods imaginable.
At the same time, the only thing stopping me from going full speed ahead on doing this for real is: if such a setup would be at all usable for running ALVR or equivalent to stream to a Meta/Oculus Quest Headset for Minecraft Java VR (with Vivecraft, most likely).
