I ended up taking apart my 2 spare ds4's i had for some reason in order to fix the one i dropped. Why did they make so many different versions of the ds4? Each one has something different structurally from the other. The one i fixed up always felt the best in my hands, and it actually has more stabilizing components inside apparently. The one with the right usb connector has a completely different back shell shape. And the light bars are different across all three.
