The monogatari series is insane in bad ways but also kind of based for having a character that is the manifestation of a teenage boy coming of age who basically goes "if you want to move on and become an adult you have to come to me as you were as a child, put on the schoolgirl uniform" who goes from female to male once koyomi metaphorically grew up
