palworld seems like a game that is like, wrought with discourse surrounding it but fun enough. but it really shines in people's eyes by inviting comparisons between it and pokemon games and winning almost every single one of them

like i'm sorry i'm usually not a stickler for graphics but like. surely the biggest media franchise on the planet can shell out for better lighting and textures and development time right
i think most pokemon games i've played are fun but i haven't remembered any locations since like, gen 5, besides Ballonlea in gen 8. i think they're still a good ways away from knowing how to actually make a memorable and visually interesting open world?
plus the framerate in S/V is really rough
