you know. When "sjw" was coming into the common parlance, I was like "god this is some reactionary bullshit. there are a bunch of people who I thought SJW referred to who are just trying to be superior and fight people for being shitty, but that's not how it's used." And I got kinda talked down for saying there was any kind of problem with social justice circles.

@SophiaSurname i always thought it was interesting that unique among pejorative reactionary epithets, being a Warrior for Justice in Society sounds pretty badass actually

And i had to have that conversation again around Kankri. How this is pastiching a real kind of person, and the kind of "sjw" embodied by kankri is shitty -- but people talked like kankri was a mockery of caring about things, not a mockery of performatively caring.
and I'm just thinking about how. So much of the state of Online and progressive forces and shit would be so much better if there weren't the WRONG extremes like this.
