imo so many "anarchists" identify as such because they believe every line of propaganda they're fed about the ussr

I respect people who want to get into computer science and adjacent shit on purpose instead of getting dragged into it because somebody needs to do the college courses. That shit is fucking hard, man, I washed out for a fucking reason

Then again I've also been told that putting undergrads through a whole fucking semester of Assembly Language, which is what fucked me up, in order to access crucial courses is "unusual" and "cruel" and "fucking bonkers" so I might've just been unlucky lmao

My problem is that I love the endless series of small steps that leads to people killing each other on the battlefield, from surveying where you're going to build the mine to getting supplied just the right polearm to ruin the day of the fucking prick who thinks he's invincible because he has a horse and was in a position where he could divert a shitton of metal and labor hours to making him fancy plate armor... But I also love mecha which are fundamentally anti-materialist

it's fucking baffling to me how oda's attempts at sensitivity toward queerness and honestly all of his strengths as a writer wither away as soon as he puts any focus on post-timeskip sanji at all. i give oda a lot of benefit of the doubt and i greatly enjoy how he writes both bon clay and iva, which made it actually sting when he reduced iva's island to a bunch of mean-spirited jokes for no reason other than to have an excuse to flatten sanji's character even more than he already had

in case you couldn't tell, i'm past the timeskip lmao

if i got to use the time machine a third time after ensuring the long-term success of the paris commune and beating ronald reagan to death with a baseball bat before he could start his political career, i'd accost oda while he was working on one piece's initial concepts and tell him that if he didn't change the fundamental premise of sanji's character i'd go back in time to kill his dad and fuck his mom before they ever met
