hey. did you know? game design sfx is fucking hard when youre working with something abstract. im so fucking good at creating Grounded Diagesis with a stock library. i can tell a story with just stock sound effects. you can know the size of the room, what its made of, how many people, who they are, what they mean to each other, all with just use of a library

ive been sitting here trying to draft the sound of a Generic Instrument being tossed in the air, coming down spinning, and grabbed with tension for 50 minutes. you wanna know whats killing me? the sound of it coming down. ive been sitting here just blowing out three notes from my mouth looking irritated and confused trying to get the pacing right irl and furthermore trying to figure out why i CANT get it right on the TIMELINE >:O
