being nonhuman/creature/pet/doll/toy isn't inherently mutually exclusive with being part of a society, & to the extent that it feels like it is that's a societal failing
we *should* be building societies where Being An Entire Normal Human (Definition Attached) isn't the price of entry or an omnipresent tax

ME: actually it's kind of funny that we're calling it a zombie apocalypse. you see, in Ancient Greek the word ἀποκάλυψις means a revelation, literally un-covering. that apocalypse means of "end of times" comes from the Book of Revelations of the Bible. in any case, my point is that i still have not seen a zombie gain any particular insight at any point of this apocalypse. so while i don't want to come across as a pedant, i'm probably going to call it the zombie eschaton. does that make sense to you?
