@kate yeah! and that's how you can tell the model WASN'T actually trained to understand language: it's probably just going "well these shapes are together a lot so let's put them in something like that order" and not, "oh this is an 'E' and that's a 'T' and there needs to be an 'A' between them to spell 'Seattle' right"
any time it makes actual real words are by pure happenstance
