when people say “there are more vacant houses than homeless people” what they mean is “homeless people should be forcibly relocated to, like, West Virginia.” most of the long term vacant housing in this country is in places that have no jobs and are hostile to queer people

@kate yeah tbf it was an article about housing in the uk that just tangentially mentioned the us and from what i can tell the “housing supply” thing in the uk actually is basically just a smokescreen to disguise the effects of extreme landlordism
