food, cooking, fucked up this recipe but I’ll fix it I promise 

fucked up this fancy chicken cream stew recipe in three ways:

1) forgot to buy carrot, substituted with canned sliced carrot (which melted into the broth, tbh probably isn’t bad but will change the flavour a bit)

2) mistakenly bought/added 5 chicken legs instead of 4 (didn’t actually cause any issues, just more chicken than expected)

3) misread recipe, added 1 cup of heavy cream instead of 1/2 cup (oops)

chicken and mushroom cream stew with white wine, carrot, potato, onion, garlic, parsley, thyme, etc :)

the canned carrots melted into the broth, but IMO it tastes great that way! Did also use 2x the heavy cream as written (oops), but simmered it for a while to even it out 👍 very happy with how this turned out!
