@Paravellex tldr is that they're planning on updating communications to say that it decreases infections by around 3x and severe illness by around 10x
the data for the delta variant shows that vaccination doesn't decrease transmissibility much
@leo @Paravellex so if Delta’s a far more transmissible variant than the original disease (which it is), and vaccination doesn’t cut that down any, the only options are…
- push the country back into lockdown and force shots into people’s arms if they want to do anything (never going to happen)
- basically force the vaccinated to carry the load indefinitely as the currently-unvaccinated continue to refuse to get vaccinated and we’re stuck with this and future mutations (this is inevitable)
