genuine question: if you work something like a 9-5 job and you want to job hunt for another how do you like... do that. how do you handle the need to interview at another place during the day?
is there any way you can do this without tipping off your existing employer & potentially endangering your current employment?

Genuinely it seems really difficult. If you have the kind of job where you can block out space in your calendar for arbitrary meetings you could have someone you trust set up a few fake "sync up" type things to cover, or you have to burn lunch breaks. Neither are great or fool proof!
