Wondering if we could fit enough QR codes with error correction on an 8.5" by 11" sheet of paper to equal the capacity of a floppy disk
It turns out there's a lot of floppy disk storage sizes and it's a lot less of a straight answer than a CD or DVD
@quiet are you printing on both side of the paper?
@Mooclown good question, no! so if you printed double sided you could actually fit 630 kilobytes on a sheet of paper, nice
@quiet there's also a bunch of different QR code "versions" which are different sizes and also have different data density. there's also different levels of error correction which will also heavily affect data density

@Mooclown I think our calculations were using 177 x 177 codes, the largest ones, which come to think of it would probably hate being within 2 centimeters
ok so it seems like we could store 315 kb of data on a sheet of paper in the form of 105 QR codes
Which is more than some floppy disks but less than most
It's possible to go smaller as this is assuming a 2x2 cm size but that becomes less reliable for actually being scannable by anything
