the thing that shocked me the most was the handling of the three japanese samurai characters. i was expecting them to be really nasty but actually when the action starts they just straight up do anime shit. it's SO cool. i was not expecting a hong kong kung fu movie to let samurai shit be that *cool*. they ARE there to steal the map to the terracotta army though and for that they get beat up at the end.

this is a movie about all last five different groups of guys all trying to rob the same train independently of each other. it's hilarious slapstick and then an actual human man jumps off a three story building, lands on his ass, and immediately hops up like nothing happened. i know it's a cliche to say this but they literally Do Not make em like this anymore. even john wick, bastion of practical action in the west, isn't even on the same continent as this literally actually a children's movie
