like what really hit home both times was that despite this being a parody movie where all the comic book stuff is meant as a cypher for a semi-autobiographical trans coming of age story, it's still genuinely a VERY GOOD comic book movie. it is very intelligently interrogating the batman mythos from a place of care and investment, it's fanfic-as-analysis-as-art, which is a rarity even in the world of batman parody videos that The People's Joker clearly emerges from. it's just good man idk
