This is about the Eonian Era, but I had a brain blast that Valerie is actually a really good person most of the year, but is 24/7 roleplaying as a really toxic person during peak hunting season because that's when they host an elaborate kink-based tournament with the polycule

I just imagine Val being an absolute piece of shit most of the story except in flashbacks where they're literally just a normal person and it's killing me
