One of my favorite pieces of music is the Disintegration Loops, a set of compositions with a premise of looping a melody over and over until it loses its identity in the consuming crackle and static of a tape worn out by repetition. And I think there’s something to be said about the similarities this bears with the present state of Repiton & the broader setting of Vast Error, a world worn out, in the latter stages of a long patten of crackling decay & rising static.

You can wear an anarchist badge and tweet "Be Gay Do Crime" but If you're still calling queer a slur and telling trans people to be less angry and more respectable if we want to be treated like humans, then you're still just another cog in the machine that wants you dead.

It's like that one poster that gets reposted a lot, the purple poster with the resistance hand that says "Gay Power" when the original said "Queer Power" but the edited version gets shared around so much more.
So many younger queers who've been indoctrinated with terf rhetoric and don't even realize it like the idea of "Be Gay Do Crime" but only as a performative resistance, preferring to assimilate while wearing punk aesthetic and blue hair die but refusing to actually throw any bricks.
