The collaborative city/society building thing Really appeals to me. A while back some friends and I had a game we were trying to make where we played as different factions/ classes in a settlement in faerun & evolved with it over time, forged alliances, used dice for resources etc. Mine was Drow, I had lot of big wizardy plans with them. like a magical brotherhood of steel
@abraxas it requires a lot of frontloading exposition and prep but if you have people you think you'll synergize with they will pick up like, 80% at minimum of your hopes for concepts about the setting you were considering backstage before you started. it's a beautiful hybrid of seeing people walk directly into something you were waiting for and then managing to surprise you anyways
