here's another look at the smaller dogcow, as commonly seen in the "Cairo" font designed by Susan Kare, which is probably more what the new smooth dogcow is based on (judging by line weight, at least). #dogcow

laptop case rambling
remembering the little zipping cases we had for our ThinkPads in tech school, where the laptop is strapped in and it has ventilation for it and you could just drop the things and it be fine
want one of those for our main laptop
also apparently the HP ProBook 640 is a chromebook now or something. we have an old windows one with a CD/DVD drive but we wonder if one of the Chromebook cases would work since those seem to actually be still in production
the thing is is that our phone is a computer we can literally throw around, like actually throw, we have a good case and it doesn't have any parts that'd be a problem for (like a hard drive or fans)
need something with a form factor like an ipad with the keyboard i guess
for all our gay little bodily positions
need a little laptop type thing we can throw around
due to circumstances our phone is also the one device we have that has unlimited data so there's that
i have no idea what a rico day is but I hope @georgespolitzer is happy today 🎈
soft. ware.
basically hacker news went down yesterday and in this screenshot someone chimes in talking about it saying that they had a batch of SSDs manufactured by SanDisk all get bricked after exactly 40,000 hours (4.5 years) uptime because it overflowed an internal counter and corrupted the SSD's internal state.
someone from hackernews replies and says that the SSDs HN was hosted on were in fact SanDisk Optimus Lightning IIs and almost exactly 4.5 years old.

Everything about this reeks. It feels like capital is trying to create a crisis but can't actually pull the trigger on themselves
