@sarahzedig idk, i seem to remember TV interviews with Lawrence Lessig on the subject like 10 years ago, kinda slowed for a while since.
But music theory youtube is constantly full of complaints about copyright, even if not advocating the complete end of it. Imagine it's impossible to do that work without thinking "actually, this is fucked."

it feels like just a couple years ago criticizing copyright was completely off the table, but lately it seems like *everyone's* got shit to say. maybe it's become absolutely undeniable that copyright functions largely to parcel up ideatic land for the purchase and profit of large corporations... and not much else
