revisiting bits of godfeels and i've gotta say this is my absolute Favorite kind of scene to write. here's a robot who for the last 3000 words has seemed like a personality-less shell for gathering information for administrative purposes. then suddenly it's a mortal person who was just being professional. i love doing this. i love introducing throwaway gag characters and then refusing to throw them away
the exact same thing happened with the joke character Burning Romeo, described as "a sentient bonfire stuffed into a space suit" who only speaks in descriptions of types of flame, eventually refusing the call to adventure in fear of its own mortality
and oh man you KNOW i've got even more bullshit like this up my sleeve for the future >:)
i've spent the last couple days really hammering down on the outlines for the next couple tracks and hoohgohhhhggg i'm dying squirtle i cannot wait for Literally Everything That Happens Next
the fun thing about the double album conceit is that disc B is *also* titled DEATH HANDS, B1 is simply the eponymous track. get out of the way grr martin with your "many people throughout history are named robert" we're playing with prog rock now
rereading bits of 2.3 for the first time in like two years, you know i can be pretty funny sometimes

@irisjaycomics all of this stems from my conviction that the entirety of chapter 8 needed to be one single unit of story because this fic needed to have a total of 8 chapters and no more, it just kept getting bigger and bigger

@irisjaycomics luckily my high school shakespeare teacher gave me a lifelong obsession with the five act structure, so it all worked out in the end

i read the first part of Godfeels at the same moment (a couple months ago!) that i started doing a bunch of basic, off the rack Transfemme 101 shit for the first time in my life, and wow, that was awesome and helped me feel good about what i was up to, great job, Mission Accomplished. i continue to read further, with interest
