you know, those things? why aren't they there? why does one of the single most revolutionary technological innovations of our lifetime omit such a fundamental and rudimentary baseline of useful maps throughout history? i don't even mind that they're not automatically visible, i'm losing it that there's seemingly not even an option to place them on the map in the first place

decided to replay this on a whim and, honestly? exactly as good as i remembered it. i've played this game so many times, i know it about as well as i know some of my favorite movies and it just doesn't get old. right up there with wolfenstein: the new order as a game i could replay until the sun goes out. spectacular balance between gameplay and narrative, eternally impressive setpieces, HILARIOUS. it's the sort of medium-defining classic i honestly can't believe came out in my lifetime.
damn dude this rolling stone piece goes hard, rip bozo

seriously though wtf? there's one channel called polymatter that's like "a bunch of different topics and also china," then they have a dedicated series called polymatter-- China Actually that's a featured original promoted in the site banner??? i haven't watched any of these vids so idk maybe i'm wrong but in the trailer the host claims to be trying to talk about china "without hyperbole" and i'm sorry but your thumbnails and banner ads are exclusively hyperbole
i would kill to have this stupid hoodie tbqh

i'm going into these specials thinking about how rusty wants to set up this show with firm, known fundamentals so it can avoid another chibnall era, while introducing enough new stuff to make doctor who feel fresh and unpredictable without alienating the audience. my thoughts were "this is a doctor who will want to be nicer to people" and "probably we're gonna get more recurring domestic tardis interiors." this huge, hallway-ful tardis certainly suggests i'm onto something :)

this shit that the doctor can do with his sonic now is so marvel, and it feels very intentionally so. this is doctor who playing in the idiom of marvel movies, and adapting a comic story to boot. i'm not sure how i feel about the hard light shields??? but i also kind of love how brazen it is as A New Thing. i think we might be seeing the doctor fully transition into becoming a wizard. the merlin prophecy is coming true right before our eyes
