john brown was a common answer on twitter, and napoleon and lincoln got a fair few mentions. a friend of mine said caesar augustus: "Lots to criticize him for but he did very much butcher the rich in their own homes and used their wealth to fund massive public infrastructure projects"

as of the chapter i just finished drafting, it looks like i've written the longest roxygen fic (that doesn't just have it as a side pairing)
not sure how that happened. oops
the one thing i really like about reddit's UI is that if you visit the profile of somebody you've blocked, there's no option to view their posts anyway like on twitter. you can't even unblock them from that screen, you have to manually go to your list of blocked users in your preferences and scroll down to their name to unblock them. it disincentivizes "checking up" on people whose posts you shouldn't want to see; the profile for a blocked user even says "out of sight, out of mind"

a majority of student researchers at the university of california have now signed cards supporting unionization! the process is far from over (the UC will try, and already has tried, to narrow the definition of who counts as a "student researcher") but we're well on our way toward getting california's public employee relations board to officially certify the union
i honestly think that the united states being able to create such a strong culture of national identification was helped in part by its name acronyming as "us"
