@ghostrally i don’t think that this is something that i feel anyone has to agree on me with, but like?? i personally think a situation like this is within the ability of homestuck and contributes to the whole meta-conversation about the importance of canon and what “canon” really means. also i like it!!!!!! bc god damn do i miss the dirk and roxy friendship. dirk is Like That and i feel this a “godly” but maybe not noble thing he would do

@ghostrally but because dirk understood roxy as a trans woman and not as nonbinary/agender like terezi/roxy did, this would explain his surprise at roxy’s change of pronouns and the famous “i’ll allow it” line

BUT. for the people who DO need a canonical explanation for everything, i accidentally came up with a weird headcanon regarding roxy’s gender and it’s affected by dirk’s power over the narrative
